Refund and cancellation policy
Refund eligibility, deposits, cancellations, and rescheduling for App Brook Base consulting engagements.
Scope
This policy applies to programming consulting engagements with App Brook Base, including Architecture Assessment, Portal Rebuild Planning, and Cutover Readiness Review. It does not cover products, software licences, or physical goods, which we do not sell on this site.
Eligibility
Fees are generally tied to scheduled professional time and written deliverables. A refund may apply when we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control and no equivalent date can be offered, or when a written agreement expressly provides a refund right.
Timeframe
Refund requests should be emailed to info@appbrookbase.click within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request, or within any longer period stated in your statement of work.
Full or partial refunds
- Full refund: Rare; typically when we cancel before work starts and no substitute date is accepted.
- Partial refund: May apply if we terminate early for our convenience after work has begun, proportional to undelivered stages.
- No refund: Work already performed, discovery sessions already held, and completed written deliverables are non-refundable.
Non-refundable items
Scoping calls offered without charge, third-party costs you purchase directly, and deposits marked non-refundable in a statement of work are not refunded except where Taiwan (TW) law requires otherwise.
Process
Email info@appbrookbase.click with your engagement reference, the reason for the request, and relevant dates. We confirm receipt within two business days and state the assessment outcome in writing.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method used for the engagement invoice, unless another method is required by the paying entity and agreed in writing.
Cancellation and rescheduling
- Client cancellations with at least 5 business days’ notice before a scheduled on-site or multi-day session may be rescheduled once without fee.
- Cancellations inside 5 business days may forfeit up to 50% of the scheduled session fee to cover reserved time.
- Rescheduling is subject to consultant availability in Taiwan business hours.
Deposits and no-shows
Where a deposit is required to reserve a rebuild planning window, the statement of work states whether it is credited to the final invoice or held as a cancellation buffer. Failure to attend a confirmed session without notice may be treated as a cancellation inside 5 business days.
Work already started
Once discovery interviews or document review have begun, fees for completed stages remain due. Unused future stages may be cancelled under the rules above.
